Demystifying Mental Health with Nicole Okezie

Nicole Okezie, MD originally hails from Huntsville, AL. She is a graduate of Xavier University of LA and attended University of TN Health Science Center in Memphis for medical school. She always had an interest in psychology and how the mind works and influences people’s actions so a psychiatry residency was a perfect fit. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of TX Health Science Center in Houston and went on to complete a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She is double boarded in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She has worked in college mental health, community mental health and in private practice. She is currently working at Thomas B. Finan Center, a psychiatric hospital in western Maryland.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening and photography.
