ABOUT OUR PANELISTS
Julie Waters serves as Human Resources and Operations Director for the Chapter 13 Trustee Office in Spokane, Washington. She oversees the entire HR function, as well as quality assurance over data, IT, and the annual disbursement of over $20 million. In 2017, she was appointed to the Spokane County Civil Service Commission and now serves as its Chair. Julie also served as a human resources/civilian benefits expert, writer, and speaker for the National Military Spouse Network (NMSN). A human resources professional for over 20 years, her career has been built with experiences from employers in Virginia, Massachusetts, and Florida, through a wide range of HR positions. Waters holds a BA in English from the University of Washington and an MS in Human Resources Management from Troy University. She also is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
Patrice Cleary is the Chef and Owner of Purple Patch Restaurant located in Washington DC. Purple Patch is a Filipino-American restaurant that has been acknowledged for its efforts in helping to highlight and educate the different nuances of its cuisine. Patrice has used this platform as a way of showcasing what Filipino cuisine means to her while respecting and appreciating tradition. Being a former Marine as well as working in the finance industry she brings a level of discipline coupled with her natural passion and artistry of food that makes her restaurant a huge success.
Meg Brackett is the Founder and Creative Guide of Yoga Brain. Yoga Brain is a creative studio designing conscious branding for big-hearted wellness leaders. Within Yoga Brain, she merges right and left-brain thinking, combining extensive expertise in business and communications with over 17 years of practice on a yoga mat. When collaborating with clients, she incorporates elements of astrology, numerology, and the moon cycles to align every project with the forces of the universe.
Ingrid Vaicius is a certified bilingual (English + Spanish) wellness educator, coach, and speaker. She regularly advises women in leadership on prioritizing wellness as a key strategy to becoming more effective and successful leaders. Known for her practical and honest style, Ingrid helps her clients implement achievable strategies to improve their physical and mental well-being so they never have to choose between their health and living a fulfilling life ever again.
She has worked with organizations including The World Wildlife Fund, The Environmental Protection Agency, The National Association of Professional Women, Arlington County Government, The Urban Land Institute, Sweetgreen, and the VA Women’s Business Conference. Ingrid has studied health and wellness in various modalities for 15 years and is a Board Certified Health Coach. She grew up in Bogotá, Colombia, and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from American University. She lives in Arlington, VA. She's been featured on Northern Virginia Magazine, Awesome Women Entrepreneurs podcast, BallstonConnect, Happy Healthy Human Radio, and the Dare Daily podcast.
